In an international context marked by an increase in the number of crises and a significant reduction in humanitarian funding, it is more important than ever to reflect on the future of humanitarian aid. With this in mind, we are pleased to invite you to the 5th edition of the International Cooperation Forum, to be held on 26 and 27 February 2026 at the International Conference Centre of Geneva (CICG).
The 2026 edition will focus on redefining humanitarian priorities in a changing geopolitical environment. Over the course of two days, political leaders, international organisations, NGOs, the private sector and academia will discuss the directions needed for tomorrow’s humanitarian aid.
The Forum will welcome my colleague Martin Pfister, federal councillor and head of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport, Tom Fletcher, UN under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs and emergency relief coordinator at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Mirjana Spoljaric, president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Melissa Fleming, UN under-secretary-general for global communications, Jagan Chapagain, secretary general of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Degan Ali, founder and director of DA Global, as well as Stephen Cornish, general director of Médecins Sans Frontières.
As the depositary state of the Geneva Conventions, Switzerland will focus on respect for humanitarian principles and international humanitarian law, as well as major crisis situations and the future of International Geneva.
