Regionale Berufsbildungskonferenz in Naypyitaw (Myanmar)
From 13-15 June 2017 the regional TVET conference on Improving TVET – Priorities for sustainable growth in ASEAN has taken place in Naypyitaw (Myanmar). The conference was hosted by the Myanmar Ministry of Education (MoE), partnered by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ GmbH). The discussions during the conference focused on the issues of (i) labor markets and skills in the digital era, (ii) sustainable Employer Engagement in TVET and (iii) TVET Personnel for the 21st century.
The head of the DC dVET secretariat has participated at the event. She provided one of the three inputs in the group session on the role of the government in formulation of policies, regulations, and administration in collaboration with the private sector and represented the DC dVET with a booth at the exhibition area.
