Establishment of GIZ TVET Academy – Competence development for TVET
DC dVET is glad to share information on a new and interesting offer by GIZ Academy. GIZ has recently launched the TVET Academy to streamline its support to continuous development of technical, pedagogical, managerial and leadership competences for a labour-market oriented vocational training.
The TVET Academy offers customized capacity development as well as standardized trainings in 5 core topic areas of TVET:
- Management of TVET Institutions,
- TVET Teacher and In-company Trainer Qualification,
- Cooperation with Industry,
- Green TVET as well as
- TVET and Digitalization.
Approach to customized solutions:
Jointly with partners and international TVET experts, the TVET Academy develops and implements customized concepts for competence development in TVET in response to the requirements of target groups in specific working areas.
The service offering related to customized solutions of the TVET Academy encompasses:
- the analysis of competence development requirements,
- the development of qualification concepts and training measures,
- the implementation, management and evaluation of sophisticated competence development projects in the area of vocational training.
The implementation of continuing education and training courses in tutored online formats not only takes account of the current pandemic situation, but also focuses on future-proof service offerings, e.g. as accompanying measures to classroom training courses in the sense of blended learning. In this sense, the TVET Academy is increasingly expanding its virtual service offering in the area of technical vocational training.
The standardized trainings target priority subjects for all stakeholder groups in TVET.
