TVET plays a key role in implementing the vision of sustainable development (SD) on global as well as on national level. Participants will reflect on the overall concept of SD and the role that TVET could play in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In order to anchor TVET for SD in the respective national TVET system the participants will get to know the importance of National Action Plans (NAPs) for the strategic implementation of ESD / TVET for SD.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On completion of the training, participants
• are familiar with requirement, meaning and content of the concept of sustainable development and the sustainable development goals
• know global initiatives and activities on promoting TVET for SD and how they can support them
• know the importance of NAPs for the strategic implementation of ESD / TVET for SD
• are familiar with the process of designing NAPs
