Participants reflect the importance of the overall concept of sustainable development (SD). They will become familiarized with the role that education and TVET could play in meeting requirements of the sustainable development goals (SDGs). Based on a case study they will get to know possible strategies, objectives, activities and procedures on promoting TVET towards SD in national TVET systems.

On completion of the training, participants
• are able to describe international activities and approaches on transforming learning venues towards sustainable development
• are able to name the requirements that are made on sustainable learning venues
• are able to name the characteristics of green TVET institutions
• are able to explain the Greening TVET institutions approach
