General information
The webinar will provide the opportunity to learn more about apprenticeship coalitions and become inspired by the successful examples across Europe. The speakers will present differences and similarities among national, regional, and local apprenticeship coalitions in Spain, Belgium and Denmark. They will provide information on how various stakeholders are involved in the coalitions and what the advantages of such coalitions are for the apprenticeship programmes and apprentices themselves. They will also highlight the main challenges they have faced – particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic – and their future plans to overcome them.
The webinar will be introduced by Tamas Varnai from the European Commission’s Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion. Tamas has been responsible for EAfA and the European Framework for Quality and Effective Apprenticeships since 2017. Guillem Salvans, Senior Project Manager at the Fundación Bertelsmann, will thereafter present the ‘Allianza para la FP dual’, a national coalition in Spain.
Carl Lamote, Policy Officer at the Department of Education and Training and Irene Derungs Ollero, Secretary-General for VET in the Region of Galicia will also present two examples of regional apprenticeship coalitions: the Flemish Partnership for dual learning in Belgium and the Galician Regional Network for the dynamisation of dual VET in Spain (REGADual) respectively.
The webinar will conclude with a presentation by Torben Schuster, Chief Consultant at the Department for Vocational and Adult Education at the Danish Ministry of Children and Education, who will discuss the Local Training Committees in Denmark.
As usual, the presentations will be followed by a Q&A session where EAfA members will get the chance to ask questions directly to the speakers.
