The DC dVET has conducted a regional Workshop from 27-29 June 2017 in Tirana (Albania). The workshop was attended by nearly 50 participants from the DC dVET members ADA, BMZ, LED and SDC and implementing agencies of their VET projects. The participants were coming from eight different countries including the Western Balkans, Moldova, South Caucasus and Ukraine.
The workshop provided a platform for peer to peer exchange among participants, focusing on the two thematic areas (i) experiences and challenges in reforming VET systems with regards to dual elements and (ii) shared responsibility between the state and private sector, focusing on the role of the private sector. The discussions were enriched by expert inputs by Stefan Thomas from the European Training Foundation (ETF), Prof. Dr. D. Euler from the University of St. Gallen and a number of participants on practical examples. The workshop concluded with a one day field trip, visiting the multifunctional VET Centre of Kamza (partner school of the GIZ VET Programme), the Rapsodia Restaurant (partner hotel of the Swiss Programme Skills for Jobs) and the Rolin Gjoka School (partner school of the Swiss Programme Skills for Jobs).
