DC dVET mentioned in Report of Swiss Federal Council on International Activities in VET

At the end of 2019, the Swiss Federal Council published the report “Switzerland’s international activities in the area of VET” (in German only) in response to a postulate. In addition to the responsibilities of the various players, the report also explains the coordination mechanisms between the players in international VET cooperation in Switzerland. It also discusses cross-border cooperation in the area of VET. In this regard, reference is also made to the Donor Committee for Dual Vocational Training (DC dVET). The report points out that cooperation with Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein in particular is very close – among other things through the establishment of the DC dVET. The dual VET systems link these countries and the DC dVET contributes at international level to the positioning of dual VET in development cooperation, serves as an exchange platform of experiences and aims at using synergies in project implementation. The recognition in this report illustrates that almost five years after its establishment, the DC dVET is well established in the international VET activities of Swiss players.
